Pace I-290/I-88 Express Service Study

Pace Suburban Bus is conducting a feasibility study to evaluate potential express bus service on I-290 and I-88. This would provide limited-stop service to major suburban hubs, including Oak Park, Forest Park, and Oak Brook.

CDOT Reconnecting West Side Communities (RWSC)

The City of Chicago was awarded $2 million by the U.S. Department of Transportation Reconnecting Communities and Neighborhoods Program. This funding will support the City in engaging the community and identifying and planning infrastructure improvements to promote traffic safety and enhance accessibility and connectivity on Chicago’s West Side.

Supporting Projects: Tollway I-290/ I-88 Interchange at I-294

The I-290/I-88 Interchange at I-294 is undergoing reconfiguration and reconstruction. The project is estimated at $700-$800 million and will reduce congestion, improve safety, and address operational issues. Work started in 2020 and is scheduled to be complete by the end of 2026.
